高纯硫酸铝是白色结晶体，比重为1.69。在空气中长期存放易吸结块，脱水温度为86.5℃，能溶于水、酸和碱，不溶于醇，水溶液呈酸性，具有酸而涩的味道。加热到530℃时开始分解，860℃分解结束，分解最终产物为r-Al2O3,、高纯硫酸铝在水解过程中，首先生成中间产物碱式盐，然后生成氢氧化铝。 熔点：770℃ 密度：2.71 折射率：1.47
